About ow-ops

OW-OPS - OWO, known as ow-ops, is a non-profit association registered in Paris in September 2026. It develops and hosts open-source software.

What we do

We write the software, publish all of its source code, and run hosted versions for people who don't want to manage a server. Anyone can also run it on their own machines.

  • passoword, an end-to-end encrypted password manager
  • towonel, a tunnel for services behind NAT
  • apoci, a federated container and package registry

Purpose and governance

Article 3.1 of the statutes sets the association's purpose: developing, maintaining, distributing and hosting software and digital services, in particular free and open-source ones, in cybersecurity, privacy, IT infrastructure and digital tools.

The association is represented by its president, assisted by a treasurer (article 10). Members meet in a general assembly.

Funding

Donations and paid plans for the hosted services pay for the servers. Donations and expenses are public on Open Collective.
